O GOD, who visitest the humble, and dost comfort them with a father's love; pour down thy grace upon us who are gathered together in this place, that through the presence of those in whom thou dwellest, we may feel thy presence within ourselves. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

When he had started going to the sea † the people cried out with loud voices, O Lord Jesus Christ, save him: And Clement responded, weeping, Heavenly Father, receive my spirit.

V. The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree.

OEVERLASTING Shepherd, look down in mercy on thy flock: and as thou didst choose blessed Clement, thy Martyr and Chief Bishop, to be pastor and ruler of thy Church; so at his intercession defend it with thy continual protection. Through. Amen.
