Palm Sunday with the Benedictines of Petersham |
I was priviledged to spend Palm Sunday in rural Central Massachusetts with the Subiaco Benedictine Communities of Petersham. The monks of St. Mary's Monastery and the nuns of St. Scholastica Priory go to their shared church seven times a day for the Mass and to sing the Divine Office. The office is sung in Latin, following the new books from the Abbey of Solesmes. The is not a concert but the living language of the Church's unceasing praise and prayer.
